Tell us a little bit about your career and current position.
I have been in the construction industry for over 26 years, from Customer Service to National Sales Manager, Inside Sales to Operations out in the field in different areas of the business. I have worked in Interior business for Distribution to Manufacturers. My current position was created to be the Marketing & Networking specialist in the Tri-County area for a Roofing manufacturer.
How long have you been a NAWIC member, and how did you learn about NAWIC?
Since 2018, I learned about NAWIC by an email invitation from a non-member.
How has NAWIC helped you in your career?
I have met a good number of people that helped introduce me to other construction professionals and contractors in the area. NAWIC made me the go-to person in the industry.
What is the best part about being a NAWIC member?
The best part about being a NAWIC member has been the relationships I have built in the short time, the directory of people I have met, other organizations I am apart of and truly helped me build my career. I had just started working a new job, in a new area of construction and I had to restart my network. This catapulted my relationships in this market within 6 months. People see me as a very good contact for them and their business. I am that go to person.
Why do you consider NAWIC to be a great organization?
As a member of NAWIC, people see me as a respected, responsible, reliable member of the construction community and it makes me reputable to others by being associated with such an amazing organization. People know the commitment and strength of the NAWIC Community, and I am proud to be part of it. You get what you put into any organization, and I put my heart and soul into it.
